I, a Vietnam combat veteran, was continually exposed to Agent Orange / Dioxin in Vietnam and took both Chloroquine/Primaquine and Dapsone while in Vietnam.
Since I left Vietnam, my toes/feet have been sensitive to cold, have felt numb, and have been experiencing sharp pain and my hands have been sensitive to cold.
Finally, In September 2005, I told the VA about my symptoms, and the VA diagnosed that I have both Axonal Sensorimotor Polyneuropathy and Multiple Sclerosis.

I noticed that COL Conrad Hausman was a member of the Board of Directors.   I had the privilege of serving under COL Hausman at V Corps Artillery HQ in Germany during 1970-71.   He was an excellent officer, friend, and family man.   May he rest in peace.

I was stationed at Phouc Vinh in 1965. My unit was the 1st Infantry. I walked those jungles frenquently and remember seeing white powder on the ground and wondering what it was. Now over 40 years later, reading this site is very sobering. Recently, I worked with a woman whose husband was stationed at Phouc Vinh around 1967. He died last year due to complications from the affects of agent orange. I guess I am one of the blessed ones. As far as I know, I do not have any affects from my service. I do have fleshy type tumors under my skin, but I doubt they are cancer. I’ve fathered 3 children and all appear to be healthy. The price of war is expensive. Finding this site kind of connects me to my past. I served with men I will always remember and respect.
