The Last Patrol and Colors
of Courage were painted by Mr. Nielsen and are available through
the VVI as fine art lithographs.
He also designed the Congressional POW/MIA
Medallion, which was presented to the next of kin, and designed and painted
the poignant image of the Chained Eagle, which became our national symbol
for those still POW or MIA as a result of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Nielsen is one of the nation’s foremost
portrait artists in addition to serving on the Board of Directors of
VVI.
